for the longest time, most all of my photographs have been focused on places or things rather than people. this happened kind of on purpose, kind of on accident - i’ve just never had that much of a drive to photograph people.
over the years though i’ve managed to put together a small collection of portraits - some of which are among my favorite photos i’ve ever taken. below is a sampling… -aytch

at least he managed to answer his previous question… “is our children learning?”
coming up tomorrow: watch white house spokeswoman dana perrino spin the story! turns out, the emperor was just poking fun at himself! oh… what a jokester!
i’ve been busy of late designing for my handful of clients at company of h including the website below for Guilded Salvage Antiques. click the image below to check out their newly launched website including a fully customized shopping cart/ordering system that i finished designing and developing a little over a week ago.
if you’re interested, you can also visit my design portfolio to see more samples of my recent work. if you or anyone you know is in need of graphic design or web development in the near future, you can reach me via the site there or call 503-616-3683.
i’m busy working on a new novel entitled cleansing, a story about identity, morality[and the lack thereof], and the quest for a life worth living. the narrative is first person, with each chapter written as a letter from the main character to another. tentatively, my plan is to release this work one chapter at a time on a subscription basis, with a new chapter being released every 1-2 weeks, although I haven’t worked out the entire schedule just yet.
for those interested, you can now download a PDF file of chapter one here. this is the only place you’ll be able to preview the book prior to subscribing. NOTE: the book contains content matter not suited for children. if you’d like to be notified when the subscription period opens, leave a comment below and i’ll send you an email when it is ready. [i don't have an email list, so you're not going to be spammed with other crap... just a one-time email.] this is a project that will end up being published as either a paperback or hardbound edition as well, so there will be different subscription levels for those who want to buy the electronic edition only, or want to get a discounted rate on the printed edition when it comes out as well.
also, i’m going to try to kick-start the paintchip philosophy hour back into gear in the next week or two. it’s one of those projects i just kind of let fall by the wayside while i was busy working on starting my design business, but if all goes well i should be able to get back to it soon. stay tuned here for more details.
