just got the news tonight…

here’s another reason i am a strong supporter of barack obama. in this interview from msnbc, he takes a strongly negative line of questioning and handles it with grace and doesn’t resort to negativity. this is what we should expect from a leader - someone who sees through the tabloid questions and handles issues with diplomacy, speaking truth and hope into a situation instead of becoming flustered and angry[as admittedly i might have done].

personally, i get really frustrated seeing the media portraying his campaign in the same light as hillary clinton’s, as in this abc report saying he’s been involved in the same “battling and bickering” [to paraphrase] that she has, when in fact he has handled these recent tabloid/scandal style questions from the media with grace and tact, only responding to attacks to clarify his stance on an issue, without name-calling or distorting facts.

also, if you read the abc article, you’ll notice as well that hillary is quoted as saying that if she becomes president, she “will attack iran… would be able to totally obliterate them.” talk about politics as usual. this is the exact same reason i’ve been opposed to the bush administration all these years - this kind of war-mongering and foolish threatening of foreign governments should be COMPLETELY unacceptable from any of our leaders. hillary once again proves she is not an advocate of peace, and does not deserve my vote. period.
