missing a lens: ink and watercolor on paper

here’s a new painting, just completed last night.

this is by far one of my favorite paintings i’ve done… it’s a ink over watercolor on canvas board. the painting was originally intended to be a strict sunset and powerlines painting of a photo done by a friend of mine, but then one thing led to another and i was pouring ink on the canvas and blowing it around to create strange shapes. i’m really happy with how it turned out, but i don’t think this photo does it much justice… -h

i’ve been doing some experimenting with painting lately. here’s one of the first, an ink and watercolor on paper. keep an eye out for more of these – i’ve got a small stash of them i’ll be releasing in the coming weeks. -s h
