continuing the dialogue about marriage rights for same-sex couples and the repercussions from california’s proposition 8 vote this last week… please take a moment to watch this, and pass it on to anyone you know who should see it. -h
robert greenwald and the fine folks over at brave new films are making it easy for people like you and me to send a message to john mccain and sarah palin’s campaign, calling on them to stop campaigning with a message of hatred and racial prejudice. watch the video below, then please, take a minute of your time to click the link below and send your message to john mccain that this rhetoric has no place in american politics. -h
this has to be one of the funniest things i’ve seen from letterman in a long time… john mccain cancels his appearance on the late show to “catch a plane to washington” then gets caught in yet another lie. letterman and his guest keith olbermann have PLENTY to say about that.
by the way, if mccain’s “suspending” his campaign, does that mean he’s no longer running? if only it were so… -h [found via crooks and liars]
this is yet another profound special comment from countdown with keith olbermann that i thought worthy of passing on. for mccain, someone who touts his military veteran status as giving him more experience over obama in the race for the presidency, he should DEFINITELY know better than to say it’s “not important” to bring our troops home.
this hits home for me on a number of levels, but primarily because my older brother alex ships out tomorrow for a new 15 month deployment in iraq. he’s a fine soldier, a patriot, and he will be missed. please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
another fantastic special comment from keith olbermann was made last night as well.
in times like this, our democratic political leaders aren’t doing enough to properly frame the issues, leaving the white house to spin whatever tales they wish. keith, however, puts it into excellent perspective.
