take a look at the following interview with independent journalist nir rosen, and check out his article how we lost the war we won on rollingstone.com. it’s an insightful look at the wars in afghanistan and iraq that you won’t see on most tv news broadcasts… -h
check out the trailer below for the movie call + response, which exposes the growing industry of worldwide human slave trade, including that of children.
the movie is currently playing here in downtown portland at the living room theaters, and they even have a special running today for $5 tickets all day(i’m planning on checking it out later, message me if you want to go with!). if you want more information on the film, or live outside portland and want to check out where it is playing in your town, check out the official site at callandresponse.com.
this season, the blazers welcome a few great new players, namely greg oden, rudy fernandez, jerryd bayless, among others, on top of keeping their strongmen from last year like brandon roy, lamarcus aldridge, steve blake, martell webster, travis outlaw, joel pryzbilla, and channing frye. i for one could not be more excited!
check out these clips from last night’s pre-season opener against the sacramento kings… (i especially love seeing rudy fernandez’s ball-handling!)
the blazers went on to win 110-81, a blowout here on their home court, and tonight they play game 2 of the pre-season against the golden state warriors which starts right about now on channel 8 if you live in portland. don’t miss it!
i’m thrilled that this new season is looking to be even brighter for the blazers, and i cannot wait to see how they will do this year!
i encourage everyone who is capable of voting this year to check out barack obama… even if you think you know him, if only from the soundbites on television[which are often very misleading], please take one more good honest look at him. check out his website at barackobama.com and find out more about his campaign.
your vote is your vote – it shouldn’t have anything to do with hype from one side or the other – but please, take another look.
